Delivery of a turbine set as part of implementation of the KRNiGZ Dębno project

In collaboration with its supplier, Solar Turbines, CONTROL PROCESS S.A. installed a Taurus 70 gas turbine as part of the project named “Extraction of the Różańsko deposit and construction of a cogeneration source for the purposes of KRNiGZ Dębno”, on which it worked as a general contractor.

The gas turbine is an integrated drive with a single shaft with axial flow. Air is sucked into the turbine air inlet and compressed by a multi-stage axial compressor. The compressed air is directed to the combustion chamber. Fuel – gas produced on the Różańsko deposit is injected into the compressed air in the annular combustion chamber.

During start-up, the fuel-air mixture is ignited. The hot compressed gas from the combustion chamber expands and drives the engine turbine section, lowering the pressure and temperature when it leaves the turbine. In this way, the energy contained in the fuel is converted into kinetic energy, which allows driving the gas turbine shaft.
