Air is sucked into the turbine air inlet and compressed by a multi-stage axial compressor. The compressed air is directed to the combustion chamber. The hot compressed gas from the combustion chamber expands and drives the engine turbine section, lowering the pressure and temperature when it leaves the turbine.
