CONTROL PROCESS has signed a contract for the construction of Ukraine’s first mechanical-biological processing plant for municipal waste.

On 18 May 2021, CONTROL PROCESS S.A. signed an agreement with the “Green City” Lviv Municipal Enterprise “Zielone Miasto” for the construction of a Waste Disposal Plant in Lviv.

The scope of the contract includes: design, construction and commissioning of an installation for sorting and bio-drying municipal waste. The capacity of the installation will be approximately 250,000 tons of waste per year, and the facility will produce alternative fuel, known as RDF, as the final product of the process.

Secondary raw materials will be sorted on the premises of the facility, the organic fraction will be composted, and an alternative fuel, RDF, will be produced from the usable part of the waste and used as a substitute for fossil fuels in energy installations or the cement industry.

The concept of the project is based on the idea of ​​maximum reduction of residual volume of processed waste. According to assumptions, applying these technological principles will the amount of waste sent to landfills by 65-70%.

 

 

The value of the project is more than PLN 150 million.
