Strachocina gas node

Construction of a gas distribution and measurement node in the village of Strachocina.

Assumptions

The scope of the investment is to include the construction of a new natural gas distribution and metering hub and gas pipeline in Strachocina. Due to its strategic location, the proximity of the underground gas storage facility and the proximity of two borders, it is necessary to construct a gas pipeline system adapted to two-way (reverse) gas transmission. The investment is an essential component of the North-South Gas Corridor.

The Strachocina gas hub is to be connected to the following high-pressure gas pipelines:
– Hermanowice – Strachocina (direction Ukraine),
– Strachocina – Pogórska Wola,
– Strachocina – Polish border (direction Slovakia).

Implementation

Within the framework of the investment task, CONTROL PROCESS has built the following objects:
– regulating and measuring units,
– filter-separator units,
– barrage and relief units with sending and receiving sluices,
– blowdown column with blowdown pipelines,
– condensate tank with connection pipelines,
– DN800 manifold assemblies,
– instrumentation and electrical building,
– chromatograph building,
– generator set.

Effects

The constructed switching and metering node enabled flexible control of gas transmission in the south of Poland, including gas export to neighboring countries. Thanks to the investment carried out by CONTROL PROCESS, due to its strategic location and direct access to the underground gas storage facility, the Strachocina node has become one of the key points on the map of the natural gas transmission system in Poland.
