New contract for 114 MW Boiler House in Katowice

Today Tauron Heat signed a contract with Control Process SA for the implementation of the task: „Design and a comprehensive implementation of gas-oil boilers with a total power approx 114 MWt together with accompanying facilities within the framework of the investment „Adjusting source of ZW Katowice to the needs of the heat market after 2015””. 

The task includes implementation of three gas-oil boilers with thermal power approx. 38MWt, each with accompanying facilities. The investment in Katowice will be made in the „turnkey” formula. The aim of the investments is to adjust production capacity ZW Katowice to the size of ordered power in that source while using the best solutions in therms of heat generation and environmental protection. Gas-oil boilers installed in Katowice power plant will be able to work on each of the two fuels separately.
 
- Tauron heat constantly upgrading and expanding district heating and implements new investments within the sources. Construction of oil and gas boilers in the Department of Manufacturing Katowice is another project that is part of this objective - said in a press Henryk Borczyk, president of  Tauron Heat.
